Safety Training

We were fortunate to have Rhainnon's mom come to our class to talk about safety.  She works at the Red Cross and knows a lot about first aid and safety.  She showed the children "Harry" the bear.  He had a hurt arm and leg.  She taught the children about calling 911 and about what to do if they found a person laying down and not moving.  They were taught that first you must "Look up, look down, look all around" before approaching the person.   If there is "No fire, no wire, no gas, no glass--there are no hazards here".  They should approach the person, if they cannot get a response, they should call 911.  And they were also told that if a grown up is around, they should be the one to handle the situation.
