We talked about Crickets today at school and we read the story, The Very Quiet Cricket written by Eric Carle. Ava created a cricket using play dough! We learned some interesting facts about crickets today:
1. They are insects because they have 6 legs and 3 body part; a head, thorax and abdomen.
2. Males ( we learned that means a boy) are the only crickets that sing.
3. Males sing by rubbing their front wings together.
4. Crickets have long back legs so they can jump.
