The Mitten!

We read the story, The Mitten this week at school.  It is about little boy who lost a mitten that his Baba had knitted for him in the snow.  It was a white mitten.  Several animals came along and snuggled into the mitten. We discussed the term camouflage!

Friends designed a mitten that would not camouflage in the snow!

Mine will be hard to find says Karlie.  It will be camouflaged!

We wanted to find out if people in our class wore mittens like the boy in the story or gloves.  We created a class graph.  We discovered that 13 people wore mittens and 10 people wore gloves.

Some friends created some of the animals from the story!

The Gingerbread Man!

Our 3 JKfriends are retelling the story The Gingerbread Man. One friend is narrating while the other 2 are using the puppets!  They put it on in front of our class today!

One of our friends is walking around asking, " Does anyone want a dice cream cone?"  Clever and funny!  He says,  "ice and dice both have ice. They sound the same!"
